Yuri Mamleev (Юрий Мамлеев, 1931–2015) was a prominent Russian novelist. He is considered the founder of metaphysical realism as a literary genre. His best known work, Шатуны (Shatuny, English: The Sublimes), was a samizdat novel published in 1966. Mamleev won the Pushkin Prize in 2000.
