The World Creativity Day 2025, an event celebrating creativity and innovation held in Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil, from April 21st to 23rd.
World Creativity and Innovation Day, a global initiative by the United Nations (UN) celebrated on April 21st, aims to encourage creative thinking and innovation as tools for advancing sustainable development goals. Since 2018, the event has grown exponentially, bringing together volunteers, hosts, and inspirers worldwide.
In Cascavel, the event was a success, gathering various agents of change and promoting human development through a diverse program.
I was responsible for designing the event's promotional cards (99 unique activity cards) and posters, essential pieces for promoting the more than 50 activities offered. My contribution went beyond aesthetics, encompassing photographic and video registration, as well as a topographic exhibition, which together captured the essence and dynamism of the event.
It was great to translate the energy of World Creativity Day into visual elements that could inspire and invite the public. Each poster was designed to represent the diversity of activities and the importance of creativity in our city.
A total of eleven posters were created, highlighting the six event hosts – Teatro Coolhall, Teatro Municipal Sefrin Filho, Centro Cultural Gilberto Mayer, Casa da Cultura, Estação Hub One, and Univel. The artworks also included impactful messages such as “Creativity has no limits, do you?”, aerial views of the city, the map of Cascavel, and a poster with general information about World Creativity Day Cascavel, in addition to a composition that brought together all ten artworks.
The fonts used had to adhere to the identity manual provided by the World Creativity Day organization, which somewhat limited the creative process.
My contribution was essential for the visibility of World Creativity Day 2025 in Cascavel, demonstrating how design can be a powerful tool to amplify messages and engage the community in causes of global relevance.
