Three jazz trumpeters – Roy Eldridge (1911–1989), Harry Edison (1915–1999), and Dizzy Gillespie (1917–1993) – three tunes (“Steeplechase”, “Tour De Force”, and a “Ballad Medley”), and three colors, for a joint album released by Verve Records in 1957.

The typeface used for the title with the alternating glyph colors is Venus Bold Extended, with its characteristic underbite C. In the subline, it’s contrasted with the Light Extended.
