Description from the cultural center Rote Fabrik:
In July various indoor and outdoor spaces of Rote Fabrik will become a playground. Summer Camp is an open, participatory platform for cultural projects. Summer Camp is an opportunity to bring socio-political topics to the table and exchange views. Summer Camp is a possibility to transfer knowledge and share skills. At Summer Camp the unknown can be discovered and you can make ideas happen.
Summer Camp is coordinated by an independent collective and the Clubbüro of the IG Rote Fabrik. All people are invited to collaborate and influence the organisation. We are driven by the need for free spaces to experiment. The project is supported by the technics department of IG Rote Fabrik, the area-commission and other entities of the Rote Fabrik (ex. Shedhalle, Ziegel Oh Lac).
Summer Camp is a place where all visitors and participants meet on a common ground: Zero tolerance towards destructive and discriminatory behaviour. Together we create a space where constructive action is encouraged and contradictions clash constructively into co-existence. Summer Camp is an open space without obligation to consume.
