SOLITARY SUMMER. Collezione di rovine e case d’autore in Sardegna is a personal project initiated and designed by Efisio Fenu. The book is a collection of ruins and author’s houses in Sardinia.

Place, isolated environment, situation of isolation, even spiritual. To be, find oneself, feel on an island, or as if on an island; or environment, mostly ideal, place, which constitutes one dreams of as an oasis of tranquility and serenity in which to find refuge from a troubled world or environment, from an uncertain, tormented situation: to look for an island to land on; to close oneself in the island of one's own interior world.
