Sidabro Merginos / Silver Girls is an exhibition gathering the work of twenty-one early women photographers from the Baltic countries. Taking place at the National Gallery of Art in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2025, the exhibition graphics were designed by Aleksandra Samuļenkova.
Description of the project by the architectural collective Resh, in charge of the scenography:
The Silver Girls exhibition design aimed to create a visceral and contemplative space to reveal hidden histories and illuminate overlooked contributions. We conceived the design as a singular, powerful gesture: a dark, black space punctuated by a monumental pattern. This design choice directly responded to the exhibition’s narrative about a chapter of photography that existed in the ‘shadows’ of a male-dominated history.
