Bulletin Typewriter (ATF, 1933), Morris Fuller Benton’s foundry imitation of a typewriter face, in use for an album by jazz drummer Shelly Manne (1920–1984).

The two-colored cover design was first used in 1955 for a 10-inch record by Contemporary Records titled Shelly Manne Vol. 3: “The Three” (shown above). The included tracks were re-released as a 12-inch LP in 1960 (see below), with more tracks added from another 1954 session (originally issued as Vol. 2). Design by Robert Guidi of Tri-Arts, with artwork by illustrator Irene Trivas (1930–2012).
