River Garza (b.1994) is a visual artist from Los Angeles, California, “whose work draws on traditional Indigenous aesthetics, Southern California Indigenous maritime culture, skateboarding, Graffiti, Mexican culture, and Low Rider culture.”

On March 27th 2024, he gave a talk as part of the Paul Brach Visiting Artist lecture series at Calarts. The poster uses Rage Italic and Dealerplate California, referencing the Golden State’s iconic license plate typography.
