The Perilous Fight is a three-volume music compilation released in February 2026 to support immigrant justice in the U.S. The compilation features work by over 70 artists, and was organized by Mike Horn of Seawind of Battery and Mike Mannix of Centripetal Force Records.
Proceeds from the first volume, Justice for All, go to the National Immigrant Justice Center. Proceeds from the second volume, We the People, go to the Minnesota-based Immigrant Rapid Response Fund. And proceeds from the third volume, United We Stand, go to Amnesty International USA.
The organizers describe the project best:
This is not an ordinary benefit compilation. The Perilous Fight is a collective statement of solidarity—a response to the escalating rhetoric, intimidation, and violence shaping daily life in communities across the country. The contributors are everyday Americans using music to speak out against cruelty, authoritarianism, and the atmosphere of fear fostered by the current administration. This first volume is largely instrumental. These are artists are expressing their voice through their instruments.
The album art was designed by Ian Branch and makes use of my Kuhlman typeface based on the cut-paper lettering of Roy Kuhlman. Branch created the illustration first, and then happened to stumble across the font and found its jagged edges and alternate forms to be a perfect fit for the aesthetic and message.
