Mallory by Frere-Jones Type is the typeface used for Matisse / Diebenkorn, designed by Miko McGinty and Claire Bidwell, and published by DelMonico Books/Prestel in association with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Baltimore Museum of Art.

From San Francisco Museum of Modern Art:

Featuring stunning pairings of more than one hundred paintings and drawings, this sumptuously illustrated book brings together the work of Henri Matisse (1869–1954) and Richard Diebenkorn (1922–1993) as never before. Though they never met, Matisse was an enduring source of inspiration for the American artist, and their works share surprising similarities in subject, composition, palette, and technique.
