Following the acclaim of MUTT, PHOLKS doubles down on raw creativity – marking a movement as bold as it is timeless, an experience meant to be disruptive, not just heard. Blending the groove of funk, the golden age of R&B, and the raw defiance of classic rock, the EP showcases Leon Thomas’s command as a multi-instrumentalist and visionary.
The project was recorded by Leon Thomas and Anthony Vega at Lions Share, The Playground, and Ameraycan (USA). Creatively directed by Rick Ramirez and creatively produced by Sink or Swim Creative. Design and 3D by EverythingMoves.
The project solely uses three weights of Canon-Standard – 75 Bold, 65 Semibold and 45 Regular. The logotype utilises a customised version of Canon-Standard with a distinctive LK ligature.
