For BLXXD & FYAH by Keznamdi, winner of Best Reggae Album at the 68th Grammy Awards, with Creative Direction by Nathanael Amadi and Art direction and Design by Kyra N. Thompson, who approaches typography as an articulation of lineage. The LP gatefold is set in Azeret, where its monospaced structure establishes a contemporary clarity and a cadence between image and type across the interior composition.The cover and accompanying images, photographed by Sam Rivera, feature a custom Amharic title translating to “Blood and Fire.” Designed by Thompson for this release, the lettering draws from Ethiopian script traditions while adopting a distinctly contemporary form.
