Keynote for The Key. A case of LTypI spotted on the Berkley Medallion edition of Jun’ichirō Tanizaki’s novel. First published in Japanese as 鍵 (Kagi) in 1956, the shown paperback came out in 1971. The cover art is a reproduction of a work by Okumura Masanobu 奥村 政信, an artist active in the 18th century. It’s titled 湯上り美人 (“woman who enjoys taking a bath”).
