An extensive listing of hotels in Japan, Formosa (Taiwan), Chosen (Korea) and the ‘leased’ territories of Manchoukuo (Manchuria) with an inset leaflet giving details of hotels that were expected to open in 1937/38, published by Japanese Government Railways in 1935. It also gives details of hotel services and ‘hints for first-time visitors’ some of which would have been quite alien to a ‘western’ visitor such as removal of shoes before entering, bathing before supper, the use of the futon and tea-making equipment.

Text on the cover is hand-lettered, patterned after Stellar.
