Genesis is a photography book by Juan Brenner that explores the people and culture of the Guatemalan Highlands. The culmination of over five years of work, the book focuses on youth culture and captures a new generation of Guatemalans establishing an intelligible dialogue with the rest of the world. It serves as an extensive visual study of highland society, documenting a territory in the midst of great change and the “process of becoming.”
