

For the 1996 feature film Fargo, the iconic opening credits were designed by studio Balsmeyer & Everett using Interstate typeface by Frere-Jones Type. Fargo was a major critical and commercial success, grossing over 60 million against a 7 million budget. It propelled the Coen Brothers into the mainstream, winning two Academy Awards (Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay) from seven nominations.
