Fargo opening credits

For the 1996 feature film Fargo, the iconic opening credits were designed by studio Balsmeyer & Everett using Interstate typeface by Frere-Jones Type. Fargo was a major critical and commercial success, grossing over 60 million against a 7 million budget. It propelled the Coen Brothers into the mainstream, winning two Academy Awards (Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay) from seven nominations. Renowned for its unique blend of dark comedy and crime, the film is considered a masterpiece and was selected for the National Film Registry.
