In 2000, the highly acclaimed English band Doves embarked on their UK Winter Tour with their Platinum selling, groundbreaking debut album, Lost Souls, released in April 2000.

Opening in Cambridge, UK, at the end of October 2000, and closing at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire late November, the band’s tour was accompanied throughout by a hand-printed and blind-embossed Winter Tour poster, designed by artist LEFT WINTER.

The motif, a photograph captured in Romania by the artist in 1999 and exhibited at Manchester’s Cornerhouse Gallery, was hand screen-printed ready for Linotype’s Kursivschrift, which was blind-embossed into 250 sheets of bright white, 300gsm textured fine 450×640mm paper.
