Lisa Krusche’s essay explores the experience of womanhood in our society, searching for a space freed from inherent doubts and supposed inadequacies. Interwoven throughout the text is Jenny Schäfer’s photographic collection of (rock) surfaces, textures, colors, and landscapes—spanning the spectrum from colossal hardness to absolute tenderness. The book is set in Kalice (designed by Margot Lévêque) alongside the sans serif Elza (designed by Blackletra).
