This catalogue accompanied the largest museum show to date of artist Anj Smith at The New Art Gallery Walsall. A number of the exhibited paintings have a direct reference to rave culture; a theme represented through the use of bold typography and audacious ligatures, together with neon-coloured solids printed on thin translucent stock. The rather unusual object is made of a single booklet, thread-sewn into a square back cover with a glossy jacket affixed to its spine, giving the publication a sturdy structure.

The publication contains essays by Joost Joustra and Zoé Whitley, inserted between the sequences of plates and details. Designed by Studio Ard, typeset in LL Prisma Text with a set of custom ligatures especially designed for the this catalogue.
