This live album presents performances recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival in the Casino De Montreux in Switzerland on June 17, 1971.

The illustration and design are by Terry Lamb. The title and artist are set in Premier Shaded, while the back cover uses a combination of Arnold Böcklin and an unidentified slab serif that’s similar to but lighter than Egyptienne.
