Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits compilation album by hard rock band Aerosmith. It was released by Columbia Records on November 11, 1980 – about thirteen years prior to their hits “Cryin’”, “Amazing”, “Crazy”, and “Livin’ On The Edge”, and eighteen years before the band’s first and only number 1 single, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”, was a thing.

The red cover features the band’s iconic winged A logo. Based on an earlier version drawn by the band’s former guitarist and founding member Raymond Tabano in 1974, it first appeared in this form around 1976. The title at the top is set in caps from Antique Tuscan Extended. Design concept by Janet Perr, cover design by John Berg.
