Based in Copenhagen, à mon avis is a gallery concept and art shop focused on unique pieces by contemporary artists from Denmark and abroad.
Since 2023, the gallery uses DarkMatter. DarkMatter was specifically designed to set headlines and logotypes and it is also clearly readable. The typeface offers two stylistic sets: the construction of style 1 is a geometrical sans serif, with calligraphic features such as beveled endings and ligatures. On the contrary, the construction of style 2 is free and expressive. Inspired by the so-called gothic scripts (or blackletter), Altiplano proposes a radical interpretation based on a geometrical structure.
The letter a from style 2 lends the à mon avis logo a distinct character.
DarkMatter is supported by Futura for body text.
