«Сновійко» та інші казки (“‘Snoviyko’ and Other Tales”) is the first reprint in over 150 years of a collection of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales translated into Ukrainian by Mykhailo Starytskyi, with illustrations by Mykola Murashko. The original edition was published in Kyiv in 1873 and was groundbreaking in many ways: it was the first translation of Andersen into Ukrainian, the first color edition of his tales published in Ukraine, and the first illustrated Ukrainian translation of any kind.
This new edition includes a modern glossary of rare and unfamiliar words, literary commentary, and afterwords by the textologist, designers, literary scholar, and art historian. It was published by Osnovy Publishing in ochre and azure color variants.
Kamenyar is used for body text, with Klynok for the title page and chapter beginnings.
