Romanian Intact Media Group launched a new channel, ZU TV, based on its existing radio station Radio ZU, on April 3, 2014. As it was the youngest channel owned by the company, the channel aimed for programming as well as branding that is appealing to teens and young adults. The logo uses the Neue Helvetica typeface, which is also used on its namesake radio channel. Meanwhile the general branding as well as its former original programming uses Futura.

The initial concept was created by CRiZze and rendered by Tibi Vieru, Alex Munteanu, Dragoș Căpraru and Cristian Brustur.
