Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird was translated to the German by Claire Malignon and first published by Rowohlt in 1962. This rororo paperback edition from 1978 uses Bookman Meola, one of the more questionable outgrowths of 1970s obsession with swashes. Distributed in Germany since around 1970 by Berthold Fototype, it’s here set with extra-tight letterspacing and little regard for avoiding interlinear collisions.
