Visual identity for the All Star 2024 campaign launched by the Utah Jazz NBA team. The visual communication designed by the team’s marketing office chose to focus on nostalgia as a strategy to target end users. In line with that choice, they created graphic layouts that refer to collectible cards from the second half of the twentieth century.

In doing so, they chose Baustraße by Fantasia Type (available on Future Fonts) and DM Mono by Colophon Foundry. These typefaces are supported by the team’s corporate typeface, which is a customized version of Plaak by 205TF, roughly equivalent to the 44B-Terme-BoldB style.

The Utah Jazz Marketing team includes Stockton Bermingham (graphic designer), Eva Gabrielsen (motion graphic), Joon Lee (video director), Chris George (creative director), and Matt Kricheli (editor).
