Fat Albert was designed by Ray Cruz for Schaedler, a smaller phototype studio in New York City. In 1975, it was used in red and yellow caps for an album by jazz organist Richard “Groove” Holmes (1931–1991). It includes material arranged and conducted by Oliver Nelson, including the theme from the 1970s science fiction and action adventure TV series The Six Million Dollar Man.
