Front and back cover of the booklet

This booklet was created as a student project at the École Duperré Paris. It’s the catalog for the Sevrey, nouveaux regards exhibition at the Musée Vivant Denon in Chalon-sur-Saône, France.

It’s an editorial object created in collaboration with ceramic artists from the École Duperré Paris; they have each created an object or a series of objects using clay from Sevrey, an area of great historical interest that is the subject of archaeological excavations by the Inrap. The catalog will therefore accompany the various ceramic artists’ creations at the exhibition, to provide visitors with further information.

Formula (from Pangram Pangram) was chosen for its Condensed Black style, which lends a certain weight to titles while contrasting well with the white of the layout. Gradient (from Superior Type), on the other hand, was chosen for its mix of playfulness and structure, expressing the ambience of the École Duperré ceramics workshop: a place where you can have fun and touch everything, without forgetting the rigor required in such a place.
