Periferias, held in Portugal and Spain, is an annual event organised by the Associação Cultural Periferias in Portugal and Gato Pardo in Spain. It takes place in Marvão (Portugal) and Valencia de Alcántara (Spain) since 2013.

The festival aims to decentralize cultural activities, making cinema and other cultural experiences accessible to rural populations typically underserved by such events. Periferias is known for its unique settings, with screenings and activities taking place in (often remote) natural and historic locations.

The theme for its 12th edition is “Happiness”. The visual identity conveys the idea through abstract(ish) depictions of the peaceful lowlands of Alentejo, home of the festival. It uses only.
