The Modifyers was a failed pilot submitted to Nickelodeon by Lynne Naylor and Chris Reccardi in 2007, and was aired on Nicktoons Network as part of the 13th final episode of Shorts in a Bunch. It stars Mae Whitman (Avatar: the Last Airbender and the Owl House), Paul Rugg (Freakazoid!) and Jeff Bennett (The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Johnny Bravo). Lynne Naylor and Chris Reccardi were well known for their works on shows like Ren and Stimpy, the Powerpuff Girls, and Disney’s Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!.
Agent Xero is a mistress of disguise, who works with her modular partner Mole as members of a secret mystery cracking team otherwise known as “the Modifyers”. The two work around the clock to foil the evil schemes of Baron Vain and his goony legion of henchmen.
No new plans for the Modifyers have been announced since the 2019 death of co-creator Chris Reccardi.
The end credits are set in Action Is, which is the font Lynne Naylor would use for her material since the late 1990s.
