Ringlet set on an angle, for Harlekins Sing Sang (“harlequin’s singsong”), the debut solo album by Michael de la Fontaine (b. 1945). The German songwriter and cultural scientist was previously part of the folk duo Christopher & Michael.

Herman Ihlenburg’s curly Ringlet (1882) had quite a moment in Germany’s music scene at the time, see for example these albums by Nektar, Organisation, and Irrlicht.

Images courtesy of What Is Wrong with Grooving who have a fine copy for sale. They share audio samples and comment:

Super dope German psychedelic jazz, weird space-pop release by Michael de la Fontaine. The craziest lyrics, sung over jazz quartet sounds with Peter Baumeister on drums.
