Metrum Ensemble is a music group playing classical music from a wide range of contemporary, modern, post-modern and classic genres. I have been asked to design their visual identity and website which reflects their music philosophy: modern and classical in the same time, and mostly represent the notion of music.
While the logo is custom lettering, I used my own Brickstone for text. Brickstone is a humanist sans serif, blending playful curves with disciplined structure. The combination of friendly shapes and sharp cuts creates a typeface that is both visually engaging and highly readable. Brickstone is in its 1.0 version, with periodic updates adding new features. It is a versatile variable font, available in Light, Regular, Medium, Bold, and Extra Bold weights.
