Matías Enaut – Éclats album art

Éclat is the latest album of Matías Enaut, a writer-composer-producer as comfortable with machines as he is with traditional instruments.

For this album, entitled Éclats, which means “fragments” in French, I (Alexis Jamet) asked Manon Cezaro, a visual artist who works with plaster, to create several pieces to serve as a basis for the graphic compositions that graced the record.

These pieces, which she then painted, were used as a set design for Matías Enaut's photos, with the plaster cast at actual size to shoot his portrait, but also printed on canvas and stretched on a frame to create a background. As for the vinyl, I considered designing it with a silver Pantone because Éclat can also mean “a burst of light” in French, so it seemed relevant to me to have a bright and shiny object.

The titling font used is Better Heather, which is a digital interpretation of Arabella. The sans to go with the script is Helvetica.
