Cover art for “Material Girl”, released on January 23, 1985, as the second single from Madonna’s second album Like a Virgin. The sleeve was designed by Jeri Heiden (then known as Jeri McManus), who also takes credit for the album cover, see this previous post.

The singer’s name appears to be in a unicase version of Corvinus Skyline, with a light drop shadow. Among digitally available fonts, Tobias Frere-Jones’s Skyline Bold Condensed or Ann Pomeroy’s Corvinus Skyline probably come closest. The song’s name is rendered in a yet unidentified script. The small line at the top is in caps from Melior Bold Condensed.
