Kasu is a limited-edition sake-flavored beer created through a collaboration between Swiss sake brand Ivrée and Lausanne-based brewery and bar Brasserie du Château.
Its name refers to sake kasu (酒粕), the pressed sake lees remaining after fermentation, which were used to flavor the beer. Traditionally, sake kasu is reused in Japanese cuisine and brewing for its rich aroma and depth of flavor. This special release was available for just one month, until stocks ran out.
The packaging was designed by Dennis Moya Razafimandimby, using SwissPosters, a variable font by Newglyph, to give the project a bold typographic presence.
