The Best of Joe Tex was released in 1967 by Atlantic Records in their Dial Records Series. The ninth album by the Southern soul singer, it was already his third best-of compilation. Loring Eutemey designed the album cover, using a photograph taken by Nick Samardge and the then freshly released Davison Impacta.
