The Human Centipede: First Sequence is a 2010 Dutch trilingual* exploitation horror film directed by Tom Six and produced by him and Ilona Six. The movie uses hyper-realistic fake gore on the surgery scenes where a “human centipede” is being created. The main typeface used in the poster is Trajan, designed in 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe. Its monumental letterforms were partly sliced for the title. Since Trajan is an all-caps typeface, Times New Roman was added to set the actors’ first names in mixed case. The credit block uses Bee.

*) Original languages are English, German and Japanese.
