Fernando Jaeger (b. 1956) is a Brazilian designer. This monograph subtitled Quatro décadas de design / Four decades of design recalls some stories around the designer’s life, his work, and the professional career challenges he faced.

“In four decades of career, Fernando Jaeger has significantly expanded the scope of furniture design in Brazil. With an extremely productive trajectory, he is responsible for about 800 products, which compose different environments, such as hospitals, offices, shops, corporate spaces, libraries, in addition to his inspiring presence in the intimacy of the domestic life of many Brazilians. Valuing various moments in the history and component industry of the furniture and woodworking sector, he developed methodologies and approaches to design and produce furniture, evidencing the extraordinary energy of his design.” — Maria Cecília Loschiavo dos Santos
