Twelve texts by Michael Bierut, arguably one of the most important figures in contemporary American graphic design, translated into French, with added footnotes and a selection of the author’s most emblematic projects. Bierut’s writings and work stem from a highly original approach to graphic design practice, based on curiosity, pragmatism and steadfastness. This is the first French translation of Bierut’s inspirational articles, which are rich with ethical and practical insights for professional designers and graphic design students alike.

Direct, accessible et futé was written by Michael Bierut, with a foreword by Stéphane Darricau. It was edited and published by Bureau Brut and Stéphane Darricau, Toulouse, in an edition of 750 copies. Matorral by Bureau Brut is used throughout.
