In the 1970s, even conference proceedings on transportation planning looked like album covers. ITC’s digitization of ITC Busorama Medium includes none of the original alternates. Its glyph repertoire does cover most of the forms used here, though, including the wide E, the T with the curved roof, the R with the concave leg, and the top-heavy S. The only one that’s absent is the left-leaning A.

This Compendium of Technical Papers for the 49th Annual Meeting in Toronto on September 23–27, 1979 was published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Washington, DC.
