The Caribana Festival was first organised in 1989 on the shores of the Leman Lake in Crans, Switzerland. The festival grew bigger along the years and welcomed ten thousands of spectators in 2023 for its 33 edition. Each year, the programmation manages to create an ingenious blend by featuring world-renowned artists together with local established and emerging artists.

Since 2019, Caribana works hand in hand with the Geneva-based creative agency Grand Imperial to manage its global communication. For the 2023 edition, the agency also took care of the festival’s visual identity, resulting in warm colours gradients reminding sunsets by the lake shores during summertime.

The main headlines and titles – such as the festival name, and most of the artist names – are using some alternates from Krsna Dreamer combined with NewPanam Skyline. Body text and selected headlines use Euclid Flex.

Krsna Dreamer, NewPanam Skyline and Euclid Flex are all available from Swiss Typefaces.
