Howard A. Trafton’s Cartoon in use for Grand Award’s Musical History of Jazz, “featuring 22 all time jazz ‘greats’”, with commentary by Wally Cox. The narration was written by George T. Simon.

The illustration titled History of Jazz was painted by David Stone Martin (1913–1992). The “Grand Award” logo uses Caslon 540 Italic, with roman capitals. The layout and typography probably is by the label’s art director, Casper Pinsker, Jr..
